Haf x bsod

i just got my HAF X today, and after an hour setting everything up, tying cables etc., windows wouldnt even start

At first i thought it was because my Marvell SATA III contollers didnt like the hot swap module, as there was only a forever flashing underscore ( _ )

so i mounted my HD normally. Still didnt work, it would say windows is starting, and hang there

After trying to repair the boot files with the 7 CD, it said windows cannot repair the problem automatically. and now, after the "windows is starting" animation, i get the bsod

I reset CMOS, unplugged the HAFX front panel connectors

Any ideas? im starting to regret switching to the HAF X

Unless you're using the eSATA or possibly the front header panel wires are shorted, I can't see how the case is the issue. Try starting the computer up with the front header wires unplugged on the mobo except for the power switch wires.

May I ask why you think this is a case-related issue?
its probably not case related.... although i had a problem before where the case was shorting out the back of the motherboard. Check for shorts..
