Blech's i5 Sandy Budget Brawler

Hey all,

So I just finished up overclocking my new rig and settled at 4.4Ghz for daily use and gaming. I am a newer member to OCN. I have not built a rig since scuzzy cards were in use and there was not any mind to the inside of a case; there wasn't much to case fashion at all back then. Well anyhow I found OCN and as with many people do I found myself coming back daily for build info. I researched this site for about a month and set my focus on building a new rig since my Hand-me-down ALIENWARE Area51 Rig was def getting old and one of the 8800GTX's went south. I knew I wanted to try to stay under $1100 for the initial startup (ended up going another $370 in the first upgrade) I bought a quick TWIN FROZR 560ti for the ALIEN to keep going while I based the new build and started purchasing around the Following:

i5 2500K Sandy Bridge
ASUS P8P67 LE (ended up getting it for a steal; vcore limited yes but meets budget)
HAF-932 (painted interior to save money)
Kingwin LAZER 1000 PSU (love the connectors)
MSI Twin Frozr II 2gb 6950 x2 for "Cross-finity" (since I had 4 24" monitors laying around)
ZALMAN 135mm CPU cooler (I know it's not the Noctua but I like Circles)
G.Skill 8gb Memory w/ G.Skill Cooler (underdogs are cool)
Xigmatek 140mm & 120mm
Rosewill 120mm sidefans x4 (on sale for like $12 for the set)
Samsung Bluray & 1TB HDD
Still shopping SSD as of yet. (so hard to decide)
200mm Coolermaster Blue led replacements x2

So here are a few pictures of the build that was influenced from pretty much this forum community. but I know some things do not fall within what most would have done and that is where personal preference comes in and most of all; my 4 & 5 yr old daughters. I got them involved in the choices. As you will see below they really like blue. so I let them help me.

A few notes that I hope will negate some flaming.
~Yes I know my PSU is upside down. I have tested both configuration and with my cooling solution (4 side fans) there is no adverse effect to cooling and I get just a little more of the main harness out of the back panel for better cable management.
~Yes I know Having two Crossfire bridges does not increase performance nor does it hurt it. It is just personal preference.
~Pics represent the same lighting enviro I game in so they may be a tad dark for some.

I thank this wonderful forum community for giving me the information to execute this build. I learned alot and I think I did ok in terms of equipment choices, configuration, sleeving and cable management.
even though I will most likely not win I feel honored to be nominated for this month's: http://www.overclock.net/computer-cases/1022736-may-haf-month-contest-voting-closes.html if u are inclined to do so; throw me a vote if you like this budget build. I made it as clean as I could.

Lights on with the ghetto bedsheet backround.

Set up pic (before painted interior) next to the older Alien.
New rig is on the 24" x 3 and the Alien runs the 47" LG for side tasking.

So there is my rig. everything I could smash into my brain in about a month being on this site is shown above. So thank you kindly.
And don't forget to vote for Blech in this month's:
