As far as I know removing the Aux fan cover will NOT void your warranty. I have read that just leaving it open with no fan can also help your temps. There is no northbrige on 1155
Also, about the Southbridge cooler. You would only need one if your temps skyrocket, but replacing the stock heatsink on the chipset will void your warranty i think... Just make sure your case has good airflow and you will be fine.

I have not used this board before and so I cannot respond based on experience.

I have briefly looked at this TUF cooling and my understanding is:-
For this design to work, a down-blowing CPU heatsink fan is assumed. This type of coolers blows air downward (note the big blue arrow in pic 1) and the air will be directed into and under the cover and passes through the motherboard, cooling off various components.

And, your current heatsink+fan is Hyper 212+ which is a horizontal blowing tower type. This means, there is no air going down into between the mobo and the cover for cooling. But your CM 690 II Advanced is a good air cooling case and should be providing good airflow across the case interior. So, some amount of air should still be passing through between the mobo and the cover.

Perhaps you have 2 options if you want to keep the Tactical Vest cover:-

a. install the optional 50mm fan on top of the cover.
This directly blows air down and under and provides air flow through the mobo to cool other components. This should be your first option.

b. switch to a highend down-blowing heatsink-fan (eg Noctua NH-C14) which definitely can blow air into the CPU cover opening.

Maybe just leave the 50mm slot cover totally open? SO air gets in?
