Quiet case new build

Thread Starter
Looking for a case for a new build. I have the PSU already so won't be needing that. USB3.0 would be an added bonus. Using an ATX Mobo and a HD5850 Graphics Card.

My initial thoughts are:
Fractal Design Define R3
NZXT Hush 2

Was looking for something reasonably small. Roughly 20cm(W) 40cm(H).

What do you think?

Maybe a HAF 912?

I vote for the fractal. http://youtu.be/HkSP3JCzBc0 <--entertaining. ( comparison between the two cases.)

Yes the 912 is bigger than a define R3 for example.
My vote goes to Define r3

The define R3 definitely seems good. Was just looking at the specs though and it's only got 2 x 5.25" ? I was rather hoping for 2 DVD-drives and a card reader :\\
even my current nzxt hush has 4 bays and 2 smaller bays
whys it got so few? does it have particularly good ventilation or?

There is only 2 its a smaller profile and i think(?) room for 2 120mm fans under the 5.25 bays for case air instake.

It has decent ventilation, about middle of the pack R3 Performance. I for for one love the minimalistic aesthetics. There is a larger version too called the XL(Full Tower), although air cooling is worse XL Performance.

I do believe there are internal card readers, or some that are meant to be mounted inside the case, I've seen them in a few builds.

Have you looked at Antec 300? A little smaller, but well ventilated, and a lot cheaper. If I could find one of these i would go ITX with my next build. Damn smexy. Small, and has enough space for local storage, everything else could be dictated to a computer NAS.

But i think the R3 is quieter than all of them.

Wow that little case looks awesome! Check it out here if you were wondering where to get it from. I have looked at the Antec 300, but I'd quite like something a bit more stylish, quieter and cooler.
I think on this build I'd quite like to stick to standard ATX mobo's but maybe next time I'll try out the smaller ITX possibilities. The Cubitek and the SilverStone SG07B-W are really nice looking small cases I think.
