Issue has been resolved.

I was reminded I should test again.
275.33 WHQL doesn't appear to suffer from this issue. On top of that, I found further evidence that proves my original findings were correct.
I originally noticed the discoloration appeared to be related to light sources/shadows, I was 100% correct.
The bright or "orange" aura only appears when I'm looking at the debris with a light source behind it. If there's no flaring light source behind the debris this doesn't occur and it seems like a design choice. However, the blue/green/purple auras are now gone. The only variable is I'm now using 275.33 WHQL.
