Would this work?

I was looking to upgrade to 16g of ram and i was wondering if this would work.

Buy 1 set of these
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231435
then buy these
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231449

instead of buying this for a more expensive price

Would there be any problems? or would this work?

Thoughts! and thanks

I would say it will work fine. The only issue I can see is if you try and overclock your RAM you might not beable to get it as stable with 2 different batches or RAM.

I'm no expert on ram and whether the combined kits would function but either way, part of the reason why the second kit is cheaper is that it's 2x2 gb and not 2x4 gb. So your first option only adds up to 12 gb total, not 16gb.

If anything, combine these two kits: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231435

But at that price I would feel safer going with the full 16 gb kit because I'm not sure how well the combined kits would work together.
