Idle temps question

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I'm using a Hyper 212+ (w/artic silver 5) with my i7-950 oc'd to 3.8 and my idle temps seem a little high- in the range of 38-42. Does this seem okay? Right now my build is in a HAF 912 (temporary case, HAF 932 back home) with 3x 120mm fans (1xback, 2xfront). I'm not really worried about full load temps atm cause the most I do on the rig is play games and I never seem to peak over 55.

But anyway, does this seem right? Should I try to redo the thermal paste job? could I have set up my fans in a better fashion? Any help would be much appreciated.

These temps are good for what clock you are running.
