GTA IV Worth it?

Thread Starter
After all the "love" I've seen for this game is it even worth it on PC after all the patches? Oh and I'll have a 2500k in 2 weeks, so don't worry about my CPU.

And I'll be buying it off steam.

Yeah, it's absolutely awesome. I should have grabbed it when it was on sale awhile back.

If you have decent hardware (which you're going to, soon), its well worth it. Entire GTA series on Steam for £20 now.

It wasn't optimized incredibly well for the PC so there's bound to be some bugs or FPS issues, but the gameplay itself is really well done and very fun.

I recommend it for sure.

I bought it a month or two ago, right before their Rockstar games sale weekend and got every GTA game for like $50.

I already beat GTA IV on PS3 but getting them all for $50 is great. I've been having so much fun modding them and turning car friction to nothing so you see them go flying everywhere. Great fun right there.

I'm assuming the summer Steam sale is coming soon if you want to get it through Steam. You could probably get them for dirt cheap if they happen to be in the sale.

Only positive responses so far, did the patches make it playable?

Play it vanilla first time round, beat it. Then just mod the hell out of it!
