He is not going to hit higher then about 135w when he oc his 560 to 4.0ghz. He just need VRM coolers and he is planning to use them. So he will be fine.

Overclocking is always a risky business, however there is a certain difference between "risky business" and "suicide", and this situation is far from the latter.

Right now on my Biostar A780L3G (3+1 phase power) my VRM are at 35c with the cpu(athlon II 240) at 3.35ghz. Which I'm going the keep updating this post when I go higher on it.

I am using a lower watt processor (80W) my board supports 125W. Please don't tell me I am confused anymore or there is some flaw in my logic, I have done the math and research and know the risks. I may be a noob here but I have studied electronics in the military and have worked with computers (started in DOS around the time Windows 2.0 was popular) Thank you for the concern however I believe it is unlikely with the 880GM-LE's VRM thermal shutdown. It has a protection mechanism. The mechanism can fail of course but so could anything.
The wattage for this processor @ a 4.2 GHz Oc and 1.4Vcore would be around 110W and with "ghetto" VRM cooling and the fact this board can handle a 6 core CPU at stock voltage, I don't really believe I would have a lot to worry about. If the board can handle an 125W AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban, I believe it can handle an overclocked X2 Callisto at 110W. I would not run it like this permanently. Just periodically.
Again thank you for the concern and help, however with the thermal shutdown mechanism and VRM cooling in place I should be good to go.
Does anyone else have any input related to the Original Post?
What do you guys think about using this with two of these? I was thinking of lapping it and applying ZALMAN ZM-STG2. I don't have a ton of money for liquid cooling so I thought this might be an insane alternative! I'm not very knowledgeable about static pressure but I figure if I taped the sides of the heatsink leaving room for a few Enzotech MOS-C10 that these two 119 CFM fans in push pull could do the trick. I'm not worried about noise for this project. I'm going for a 4 GHz stable and cool overclock. Any thoughts?

I think you're confused. We're talking about an AsRock board here, not MSI board. 3 phase can handle an overclocked dual core easily, but if it was an MSI board, it wouldn't handle it even at stock.

Ok, it makes sense now, I was confused. I had a misunderstanding about the Phase setup combined with certain wattages and if it was or wasn't relative to wattage, amount of cores, or a combination, or was a constant that wasn't reached in that situation, short explanation but I'm going out for the day in a few minutes.

We learn everyday, especially here.
