Power supplies for a amd gaming desktop

Thread Starter
Hi I have a amd 560 overclock to 4.3ghz at 1.55v and a gtx 260 with 4gb ddr3.
I need to get a psu. I have a diablotek 600w but i don't think that that psu is good for 600w.

You are probably fine with a solid 500 watt psu actually

I would not trust the diablotek though that is for sure

A good 450w such as THIS is more than enough for your rig.

Yes, unless you want to overclock a pretty high-end video card like a GTX 570 or better, or upgrade both the CPU and GPU substantially. If you're not interested in the rebate on the XFX Core 450W and really want to get a top-end video card, think about the Antec High Current Gamer 520W for $60:

It's actually very similar to the XFX unit, just at 520W.
