Random BSODs after installing 11.5b hotfix?

Thread Starter
I installed the 11.5b drivers on friday, and ever since, I've been getting infrequent BSODs booting up or going back to the Witcher 2... The BSOD says "Driver irql not less than or equal to" and it doesnt happen when Im in the middle of doing something, just starting up from the launcher, or going back to the game from alt-tabbing. I already ran a memtest, and it checked out okay.

Any overclocks on the card? Try running at stock if you have. Tried reinstalling the game? Is is only BSOD's with that game? Have you patched the game to 1.1? Can you try others?

The card's at 930/1330, and I haven't had any issues with it until the new driver. The game is fully updated, and it's the only game I've experienced this BSOD with, but the game never did this before 11.5b. The game works 90+ percent of the time, and I'll try other games to see if the problem continues with them.

I've had experience before of new drivers making previously stable overclocks unstable. Try it at stock and see if the blue screens still occur.

Just had this issue again while running Shogun 2 at stock gpu clocks, ran a memtest and it was 100% ok... I did a full reinstall of drivers and I just have no idea whats going on.
Edit- my world of warcraft also experiences graphical issues while alt tabbing in the directx11 setting, but does not have problems in the directx9 setting. It seems to just be a problem with directx11 games, because I can run older games and valve games just fine.
Edit- Running CCC 11.4 provides the same problem.

The card's defective, and I'm really done dealing with it.. Is a defective 6990 worth anything to anyone?
