No matter you like it or not most games are made for 16:9 in 2001 and are intended to be played in 16:9. This is the reason why you have issues with a 16:10 display with most games released today.
Still you obviously still cansay that you prefer 16:10 but 16:9 is the standard aspect ratio for games.
Similarly, most games are made to be played on the controller, so why don't you just use one? This is 2011 for gods sake, controllers are the thing to use these days, KB+M so old fashioned. /sarcastic metaphor
That above paragraph is basically sayuing what you are saying with displays, but with input methods. Think for a while. Just because something is the main focus of development doesn't mean that the others don't still work just as well, or even better, as is the case with controller vs keyboard and mouse.
I have one monitor of each aspect ratio aside from 5:4 in my setup. I use the 4:3 as my main monitor. No real issues in games for me here. I have numerous reasons for using this monitor as my primary, but let me emphesize it for you, IT'S A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN YOUR LOW QUALITY 27" 1920x1080 SCREENS.
And I don't have any issues in games with it.

Preferences have absolutely nothing to do with this.
Uhh. What? I think you don't know how stuff works. It's YOU guys who are making the claim that 16:9 is the only way to go. We are saying "Give us proof". It's YOU guys who have the burden of proof here, not us. It's YOU who make the claim, it's YOU who have to try and prove it.
So until you can do that, your opinions don't weigh as heavily, though they do matter at least somewhat, IMO, unlike in your limited understanding of how people and socializing and discussion work.

You can't prove or disprove Gods existence, so how do you know that it's wrong? You don't. It's that simple, but it's obviously too hard for you to understand.
Don't try to sound smart when you're not. "Probabilities" are based on pure guessing and/or chance. You can't say anything for certain by using these methods, hence why it's bad information.
Well you can't usually prove something doesn't exist, but that does not mean it's real either. In your view, nobody should have an opinion. But the truth is, if you think and investigate hard enough, you can make it 99% sure that something is fact. We can never be certain of ANYTHING other than that our minds exist, not even ourselves, but our minds. That's the only thing we can know for sure, since otherwise we wouldn't know of our existance. We can't even be sure that our senses are true. But we can be REASONABLY CERTAIN. And that's the point of it. I can claim that none of you guys exist, but that doesn't make it true. I can be reasonably certain that you all exist, and that's it. I can be reasonably certain that water is transparent. I can be reasonably certain I have 10 fingers. Yet, I can prove none of this 100%. But it does not matter. Probablities are all we need. We can be 99.99999% certain that something is fact, yet never absolutely sure. That's all we need however, since it's absolutely ridiculous to think that something which is 99.9999% likely to be untrue, would be true. We don't need to be absolutely certain. We can be reasonably certain.Edited by De-Zant - 5/31/11 at 6:26am
