If the CPU is dead, I'll take it. Been wanting a new pendant since I saw an Intel one

My Phenom II 550 in my backup is missing a few pins, all you have to do is take a sliver of copper wire, cut it so it's a tiny bit longer than a regular pin, and place it in the correct hole on the socket. Boom, CPU problem solved.

As for the graphics card, you could try it in another system, if nothing shows up, then it's dead, then the question would be what killed it? Whats the PSU in that rig?

EDIT: It could also be a bad PCI-E lane, does your board have onboard graphics, or another PCI-E slot? Or you could just have been unlucky with graphics cards. I would contact the place you got it and tell them the card was DOA, especially if it's a refurb and only a day old.

I was running a 945 with about 3pins out and it still ran well...so no i doubt it's the cpu pin problem.
