I just did a benchmark using 3dmark 11 and i was looking around and some guy who has simular hardware somehow beat my score by 1500 point. how the H does that work... do i have some wrong configurations on my pc or maybe wrong OC settings.. someone please explain this weird situation to me... comparison is here- http://3dmark.com/compare/3dm11/57877/3dm11/1290709

Possibly the O.C. actually cause instability, or your computer just hates you .

It could be that your cpu OC isnt stable, or your gfx cards OC (which i think, due to the FPS difference numbers.

You could try driver sweeper in safe mode and reinstall your graphic driver.

Whats OC Scanner?

You should use Furmark, which really stresses its (for about 30minutes).

Try lowering ur OC to 850/2000 and see what happends.

EDIT: ahh, its evga oc scanner, same as furmark (i think, try it anyways)

and 3dMark stresses the GPU in a different way then OC scanner does, so try lowering ur OC.

Furmark is a killer of cards, quite literally, allowed me to figure out that my first GPU was actually junk and was going to blow out on it's own. Furmark just did it quicker.

Cant use furmark because the GTX 580 has a power limiter that engages when running furmark or some other program

Then ur not stressing ur card 100% and u wont know if ur OC is stable i guess.

Try lowering the OC and check the scores

lowing OC on GPU just lowered the scores to 6500. il keep 900mhz and run OC scanner for about 12 hours and see if it detects any artifacts. or should i use OCCT?

Edit- i also used drive sweeper and it didnt seem to fix the issue.. well idk wat else todo. il set it to test all day while i move (moving out today). once i find out wat program to use

Never mind, decided to get the 3dmark 11 advanced edition. Just found out the EVGA give u a free key for 3Dmark 11 when you buy one of there 500 series cards... just put in a request and waiting to hear back from them. So I'll use that for my stability tests...
