what performance gain do you get with your overclocks?

Thread Starter
with my system overclocked (CPU 4ghz, gpu 872/1900), I get P5736 with 3dmark11

with my system at stock (CPU 3.06, but 3.2 with turbo, gpu 607/1674) I get P4265 with 3dmark11

this is a 34.49% increase in 3dmark11.

fancy posting yours?

Actually thats a 34.49% synthetic score increase based on figuires from your frequencies (Theoretical), not a 34.49% performance increase. If you want to see the actual 'real' performance increase from your OC, you should use a realtime 3d application benchmark. ^^

Edit: I re-read what i wrote there, and i noticed i sounded like a douch, Not intended btw lol, just giving some info.

Could you please be more specific? Which application can I use?

You could try Heaven Benchmark, its free and widely used, or any of the game-specific built-in benchmarks. (Assuming your refering to gaming/3d application performance). If your not, then you could use the compression/encoding benchmarks.

Tried Heaven Benchmark and here are the results:

Without oc (stock settings)

FPS: 52.0
Scores:1310
Min FPS:30.8
Max FPS:123.4

OC @ 4ghz (CPU), 872/1900 (GPU)

FPS:69.0
Scores:1738
Min FPS:39.2
Max FPS:162.2

Still a 32.69% increase

Being just an occasional gamer I never bothered about OC and performance increase. However, my latest experience with OC made me change my mind. I think that a 32% is a serious increase and worth OCing for!
