In order to future proof you would need to SLI. Unless your at a higher resoultion.

At lower res the rendering power of a single card drops out around 2gb for the extra 1gb to be useful.

Has there been any updated roadmap for Nvidia? I heard End of 2011, but the same roadmap showed 2009 for Fermi, so it seems like Nvidia is on a time lag.

I have no control over this.

Sorry for the duplicate question, thanks.

I think Kepler has been taped out already, if not, then really soon. I believe that Nvidia is ahead of schedule with their next nm process. I expect late 2011/early 2012 for Kepler. It all comes down to sales of the current 500 series and AMD's Southern Islands GPU run.

Looks like some futuristic gun. The water block for this card is going to be like, what, $350? For a full coverage block.

Can't wait to order my regular Lightnings. Two of these in SLI are going to look so beastly!

This is new, and is also available on the N580GTX Lightning (1.5GB), R6970 Lightning, and N560GTX-Ti Hawk.

The diodes are on the board, the temps can be monitored with the latest beta version of Afterburner.
