Hi guys,

As topic above, my Main HDD is now wipeout!
Reason because i might have accidentally WIPE it all after connecting and disconnecting old HDD.

Now everytime i boot from HDD its asking me to insert disc.. Cannot see any OS at all..

My question is.. Can i recover? I hvent done anything yet as im still at work..
Please advice..

Thanks!

Did you try reset the CMOS? its definitely worth a try imo, that message can come up if the wrong order is set for the HDDs in the bios as well. Try it.

Win7? Chances are the MBR got moved to the new drive. Try booting from the Windows CD/DVD and repair the startup. Be sure to remove all other drives before hand

No problem I hope this is the case. I myself have had it happen to me a few times. Vista/7 are weird with the MBR and it lives to move it around when you add drives and whats worse if you install windows with several drives connected there is no guarantee that it will place the MBR on the drive you are installing to.

Definitely sounds like the BIOS is just trying to boot from another disc, if that's the case don't worry, your data is safe.
