I would say that I agree with you but its opinion, its that that we both share.

If you get a iPhone you know there is nothing better running iOS for another year and with 2 year contract the second year you will just have second best.
I do remember the iPhone constantly being kept up to date for a long period of time, despite its successor having been released. Nothing I have said disputes it, infact, their business model makes it very easy to update their systems one phone at a time.

With Android you will have at least 5-10 phones better then yours buy the time your contract is over.
Ain't this the truth.

Also other then Nexus line Android updates are rare and you are lucky to get 2 upgrades for the phone that is less then 1 year old.
This is absolutely true, there are OTA updates and they are rare. I personally believe they go through extensive testing to reduce the numerous amounts of issue and custom software/UI compatibility issues.

It took iPhone 2G 3 years to stop updates. Also there is that other thing that iPhone 4 is in every way better then 3GS, 3G, 2G and that does not apply for Android phones.
I agree with you on that part. Some phones have lower specs, for instance the Droid 2 vs Droid X (I picked the Droid 2) had smaller screen space and a few other oddities, but had the Keyboard, which was super valuable to me as I am about as nimble with a touch screen as a ninja running around on fire. I personally believe having a choice is a good thing though.

I moved from Galaxy S to Atrix and other then Dual Core Tegra 2 there was not much upgrade and downgrade to some part. Also as far as things you can do with both OSes iPhone has a set standard to how deep you can hack it.
I don't think the need to "Hack" an Android phone is there though, as there is not much in the way of preventative measures as the iOS. In other words, one OS tries to be as locked down as possible. I have a feeling you miss your the vibrancy of your screen correct? I also want to comment about the Tegra 2, I have only read this, but to fully unleash the Tegra 2's multi-tasking potential we need 2.3 OS as a bare minimum, which is of course "in the works."

Android phones some are locked, some you have to wait a lot for custom roms, most of them suck and are buggy, its mostly supported by the community for updates, too many phones meaning less people to own a specific model.
Don't confuse custom user made ROMS as stock unlocked ROMs containing just the basic Android OS, just updated. Many custom Roms do have issues this is true though.

All of which is true, and doesn't deter from any fact that I pointed out though.

I am not the one saying iPhone support was bad, or the fact that I thought Android's support was better. I was the one saying that Iced's comments were not factual, and were fueled by aggravation of some kind that has nothing to do with us or the release of a new phone.
