Update ASRock P67 Extreme6 BIOS

This may seem like a noobish question to some but i'm doin my first overclock on my new build. Been building comps for 10 years but never overclocked. Just didnt and still kinda dont understand it but i'm doing my research. But can anyone tell me how to update my motherboard BIOS? Any other tips would always be welcome.

If I remember correctly, go to ASRocks site, download the newest BIOS. Since it's newer, it prolly uses the UEFI system and can be u[dated through windows.

ohhh that would be nice. Lemme try to figure that out. Do you know where you do that in windows?

download the BIOS at Asrock website, unpack it to a pendrive, reset your pc, go into the BIOS and there you'll find an "instant flash" option.
it's that easy.

i wouldn't do it through windows, directly through the BIOS is safer.

Hello necro!

Anyone have experience flashing this mobo? Last night I had to force-shutdown my computer due to all usb ports stopped working just after logging into windows. After that one of my SSD disks "died". Well, I'm not sure it's dead but it's not detectable in neither windows or bios.

Looking at the webpage it only seems to be available with a windows flash... I don't wanna go that way, I prefer BIOS via a stick. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be great, thx.
