I want to build a small file server that is around 4~6tb using RAID 5. How much array space can I expect with three 2tb drive? Say if one drive failed, I can just replace it and bear no data loss right?

Currently, I have one WD 2tb green and one WD 2tb RE4 drive in my position. I am debating whether I should purchase two RE4 or two Green for this array. It is my understanding Green is not deigned for RAID so I need to disable head park & TLER. Other than marginal performance gain and better warranty, is there any other advantage going with RE4? Obviously, I can save about $300 using green, and less heat output.

* the file server is going to be used to store vector, PSD and 3dmax file average 70mb/file. In my case, reliablity is more important than performance.
