The delay is quite real, guys. It's not just Tom's and Anand.. it's every review site on the net picking this story up.

Forgot this part:
Because every review site is basicly is copy pasting what Tom's said. It's news that gets them hits.
"AMD did not comment on the story" mean that it is NOT confirmed.
I'd take any of this so far with a bucket of salt.

Well if true (would prefer official confirmation), then this is just embarrasing.

Wasn't there an article recently stating the top end 8130p would launch at 3.8Ghz with turbo at 4.2?

Now we have sources claiming 2.5-3.5Ghz with turbo enabled is the max on these steppings.

Phenom 1 redux anyone?

Not to mention that each story refers to a different date to which it will be delayed. Anand says July -- Xbit says September -- other sites say Q4............ which is it? Geez.

It may be from a more believable source compared to Sweclockers but it is STILL rumor.

Out of all the reviewers and press people, BSN has contacted AMD and AMD stated "out public roadmap has not changed.

True. For now it is a rumor, however this hurts AMD,many will be jumping ship to Intel over this.

I wouldn't be so quick to assume it's another Phenom I.
Okay,BD might not clock well now,but look at how PHenom II has improved, most users couldn't achieve more than 3.6-3.8Ghz,now people are getting over 4.0Ghz with less voltage. Not much of an increase, but still an improvement on the architecture.

Think about it this way: Who has the most to gain by spreading rumors about BD delays and such TWO DAYS/RIGHT before the press/product release?? One Word. Starts with an I. I'll give you a hint: They were founded right before AMD in 1968.

I will go to Intel if the final release is poor preforming or if AMD delays it to next year. However, many of us didn't expect chips until the end of June which is pretty close to Anandtech's July rumor.

If the rumors do turn out to be true, I have no problem waiting a few more weeks for AMD to get it right.

I wouldn't have any problem with waiting a few weeks for AMD to fix it. Look what happened to Intel when they rushed out SB.
I'd hate to give Intel money again, but my rig should hold me over until Bulldozer Enhanced anyway. I really doubt AMD would delay it until next year, this is 5 years in the making,it can't be as huge of a dissapointment as they're making it out to be.
