Oh, and no. Anand says.. I will quote it ONE more time. "performance issues with its B0 and B1 stepping chips.." Anand doesn't say anything about "A1" stepping. You're the one saying A1.

The fact remains. Neither of these sites would publish this as truth if they didn't have confirmation from within the industry.

Edit: Reading that a third time, there's nothing contradictory there. Both agree the B0 chips are junk. Anand mentions B1, and Tom's doesn't. I don't see what you're on about, at'all.

2 years of hype and making= performance issues to this day .

Not good if true. Would be a serious blow to AMD and to those of us who waited faithfully.

The only confirmation that you have at hand are Rumors from "Apparent" Motherboard manufacturers. If the Performance was so bad that they would require a new stepping they would "Officially" announce delays. In addition if there was any Delays I would have heard from some of my contacts at AMD Markham about it. However as it stands these are rumors that are at best should be taken with salt. I'm sorry but your credibility is in question here.

Rick Bergman, Senior Vice President and General Manager at AMD when questioned about the launch dates of different Bulldozer-based products noted that:

"...we indicated early summer for desktops and late summer for servers. And that's still where we're at."

In order to get to the bottom of this story, we have contacted Mr. Drew Prairie and Mr. Steve Howard, AMD's PR representatives close to the heart of the matter. We inquired about the statement Rick Bergman made and received the following answer:

"Our public roadmap has not changed."

Um, no. The confirmation I have is directly from Tom's and Anandtech. Two of the biggest tech sites. Announcing delays are bad for business. *Their* sources are mobo manufacturers and/or AMD. If mobo manufacturers don't have access to final silicon yet, there's no hope for an early June BD launch.

You guys have trouble accepting the truth.

Wait, wait. MY credibility is in question here? This is why Anand and Tom's wouldn't post the information if it wasn't true. THEIR credibility is at stake. My credibility? Rofl.

Exactly how I feel about the situation and of the reactions. I don't see anandtech starting rumors without anything backing them up.

If Anand had said "Bulldozer was RUMORED to be delayed" then I would accept it as a rumor. But he's stating it as hard fact. Therefore, I take him at his word. He doesn't post news like this lightly.

Yes exactly. Your credibility at debuking and refuting my previous statements. I'm sorry but Tom's and Anand do not have access to Bulldozer. Perhaps you haven't bothered to look at the Bulldozer Blog Entitled: Stopping the Clocks:

hey hohn…why amd don`t want to give us any information earlyer before launch date? if you give this you will stop people to buy sandy bridge and more users will take bulldozer if they see faster what he can
we really don`t understand ..

It is a standard practice in the industry. Releasing data ahead of the launch can mess up not only your supply chain but also your partners’ supply chains.
Therefore Anand/Toms do not have data before the launch occurs. They only have rumors and apparent 'info'. Bulldozer was delayed previously but that no longer is the case here. Bulldozer was due in 2009 and then in 2010. The reasoning for the delays was due to the transition away from a 45nm Architecture to a 32nm Architecture. In 2010 the Engineering samples already had been issued and were floating around. Then we also had a delay in Calendar Quarter Q1 due to Chipset Issues with the 9XX.

Either on June7th/11th we will have the Bulldozer Launch/Release and the lifting of the NDA. Within weeks time after the Launch/Release the Bulldozer Processors Global Shipments will reach Retail Availability in the weeks of June20th/June24th.
