Still, your CPU isn't really the issue. It's your case & power limits that will hit you first. A GT 240 will fit in your system quite well, and will allow you to play with similar settings to those in the video you linked, but at your monitor's slightly higher resolution and with slightly better framerates.
so that means a good thing for me....

not really - your cpu is still crap.

Done a little more checking though - actually your max card length should be 9", which opens up more options. Sadly it doesn't really help, because your PSU stops most of them anyway. It really means you can choose any GT 240 or 5670 you want as they'll all fit.

If you feel lucky, you can get a GT 450 or a 5750 - both run about 100W, so will be pretty tight on your PSU, especially a low-end Dell unit. A 460 or 5770 won't work - they need too much power.

he's talking about covering up certain pins and joining others with special paint on your cpu before you stick it in your socket. By doing this you can trick your mobo into running your cpu at different bus speeds and different voltages - if you ran your e6300 at 1333 fsb rather than its stock 1066 you'd be clocked at 2.33GHz - or similar to an e6600 but with half the cache.
