dude... if you got a 305watt psu in your rig... and those are the specs of you rig.... then i think it is time to save the $$$$$ and get a whole new low level gaming rig and then sell yours...

that psu of urs will never work on a 8800 let alone a 450.

save the $$ play solitair for a while and get yourself a ncve rig that is a little better than what you got. there are always bargins going on in the forum

Whilst I agree a 300W PSU is pushing it, he definitely doesn't need to go over the top as you have.

I have an overclocked GTS 450 (922/1844/3800), am overclocked GT 240 (800/1800/1800) an overclocked e4300 (3GHz), 5 HDDs and 2 optical drives all happily being driven on a CX400 - and it's only pulling 231W from the wall while folding on the 2 GPUs.

A 5670 plus an overclock on his CPU should be fine on a 300W PSU - and that would allow him some reasonable gaming until he can buy a better setup.

What the_beast said.
What is that black thing in front of the PCI slots? Air duct? Removable?
An (80mm?) exhaust fan will help there especially with the upcoming card. I hate OEM PCs.

it's a BTX board - that's the shroud around the cpu cooler module, and it (probably) can't be removed or the CPU will cook.

I think people do harp on about getting higher rated PSUs. After reading a number of topics, it's safe to say that in general people recommend at least 300W more than what people genuinely need. As long as the quality of the PSU is good, it's a ridiculous notion.
