ok i can pick up a used 6950(been used for 1day) from a friend of mine for $200 its a his 6950 (never heard of this brand before) would it be worth the small upgrade? also another reason why im thinkin this is because my 560 just artifacts around the mouse cursor all the time when i move it but no troubles in game, thinking of RMA'ing it before it gets worse then sell it or use it in another build for latter on

Is the HD 6950 a 1GB or 2GB model and is it a reference or non-reference model?

The "upgrade", if there is any at all, will only be worth it if there's a break even imo.

It's an upgrade.
You'd gain about 1-10% more performance.
If it's the 2gb version it's worth it.
Else it's almost selling/buying same.

RMA it and just keep it. If you want to join the Red team then sell it and get a 6950 2gb edition. They perform similarly if I'm not mistaken.

more of a side-grade tbh. If its a 2gb reference design. I would go for it, then rma the 560. Afterward, either sell it or trade it for some other upgrade(s), like water cooling. good luck
