Hi, I have just re-installed windows on my Crucial M4, however I have a problem, with this install I am only getting 7.6 not 7.9 in the WEI.

I think this is down to the driver, during the install, I was prompted to install the AMD RAID AHCI driver, and I did, just like last time.

However, in device manager, the SSD appears as a generic "disk drive" and the drivers used are "disk.sys" and "partmgr.sys", I fear that theese drivers are generic HDD drivers and that i should be using the AMD ahci driver.

When i try to update the driver to the amd ahci driver, it says that the standard one is newer.

Although the SSD is not in raid, it is still attached to the raid controller in the MOBO.

If someone with an AMD mobo could please tell me what driver is being used for their SSD, I would be very grateful.
Also, any advice as to what can be done to get my ssd performance back would be greatly received.

thanks
