Linux support is much better with nvidia. I had cf 6870s and they were total let down.

price/performance goes to amd (this round ), can't take that away from them. I just switched from gtx4xx series because amd makes sense for my needs. frankly which ever side suites my needs and wallet will get my vote.

I'm not picky and tend to upgrade every 2-3 years, but it comes down to price and performance with me.

As far as Quality and hardware, I think AMD has better reference designs considering all of their past high end cards used a 3-4 phase volterra PWM.

I have used both. Don't really care what I go with because both companies are good. It's only that small majority of people that have problems with either company, and they both are not perfect.

I prefer nv but i had to go for ATI for the 2nd time in a row. WHy? Because they don't offer an alternative to ATI's solution that suits me best. I didnt want to buy 2 cards coz i also had to buy 2 extra displays for 3 monitor gaming.

Previously i had to buy a hd5770 which was just way better bang for a buck than the GTX2xx cards. (Later on i had a second HD5770 which meant hell on the asrock p55 (x16x4) board lol).

1 HD6950oc card gave me P6331 in 3dmark11!

ow and just my thought:
My Oc 'ed ATI cards can be used for gaming all day, my nvida cards cannot...they all go back to stock

edit: I love the poll for it's oc'ed very nice: 131% alltogether!!
