I have an MSi manufactured laptop which is supposed to have a multiplier step which brings the cpu multiplier from x10 to x5 when not under load. However, I have recently downgraded to xp in an attempt to get higher performance but it has only resulted in my cpu being locked at a x5 multiplier. I tried running a software overclocking program since i am locked out of any sort of settings in the bios. The program however only displays the clocks and options sections which wont help me at changing the multiplier... any suggestions?
