Can red stuck pixels turn on and off?

I have this one red pixel on my monitor pretty much dead center. If I tap my monitor it goes away then after a while it comes back on. And again if I tap it, it will go away. Is this something that has happened to other people?

Yeah that happens. I have some blue pixels like that on one of my monitors. Rubbing the screen is actually one way to fix dead pixels in some cases.
