Is monitor Dead?

plz help im in a need. my monitor is a viewsonic vx2250

A few moments ago the light in my house turned off and the adapter my monitor was plugged in it seems it received a shortcircuit. all other components like my computer (thanks god) and my modem are ok.

at first i tried turning on my computer but my monitor didnt have any light not the led button and nothing.

then i tried using different adapter plug slots and nothing changed (my computer booted and it was running fans and lights).

then i unplugged dvi cable, sound cable and power cable and just left the power cable and tried to plug the monitor alone and it didnt work either. as the plug is a bit weird, i couldnt try anywhere else but if the computer and modem works, the monitor should too right?

Leave it sitting for an hour or two. Unplug it completely. Then replug it all back it, if it doesnt work its toast.

Sounds like it's dead, but if you want to be sure:

Find another monitor that you know works and hook it up to the computer. If the monitor displays correctly that means the computer is good to go and your other monitor is sadly dead

Are you sure your graphic card didn't die :/.
Well maybe its just monitor, but aren't odds bigger that actual mobo or something in pc will die, after storm long time ago I remember, lightning hit the phone cable, it went trough the router to my pc, and killed mobo-cpu-gpu
