Looking for new audio setup. need opinions!!

Thread Starter
So i'm trying to get ready for BF3, and I don't have a good sound setup right now. I hoping to use my Corsair HS1 for Vent so I want a good audio setup just for the game. Right now i'm thinking about the Corsair SP2500 and the X-Fi Titanium HD

I read the guru3d review and they talked about swapping the OPamps on the titanium HD I'm very new to the audio scene so I don't know how much of a difference I will notice if I chanced out the OPamps with the ones mentioned. If you have any advice or ideas about this setup I would greatly appreciate the input

Im going with the Titanium HD, I hear its great. And I also heard if you change the OPamps, it will make music sound better but only when you listen with headphones.

Love mine...running it through a receiver with some great mid range speakers (which i'll be upgrading to higher end AbsoluteZeros shortly)

For gaming, it's absolutely top notch...and awesome for music, but not as good for music as a Xonar STX.

I'm loving my Titanium HD for gaming right now. Great for positional audio with the HD 555's. I don't have the STX to compare it to, but music and generally everything sounds better than my old Xtremegamer.

Hmm. Considering I have both the Titanium HD and the Xonar STX, I can say that if you make me do a double blind test in music and movies between the TiHD and the STX, I won't be able to tell you which is which or which is better. Both cards have reached a plateau where you're just nitpicking if you think one is substantially better than the other.
