I am well aware of that, but he's using that to qualify the statement that the only website that has reported the delay is Anand. Thats a complete lie; there were website reporting it before anand even reported a thing.

Obviously there's been some sort of hard evidence if there's this much corroboration between multiple sources. Reporting on and talking about the implications of such a delay is not "bashing". I realize as an AMD proponent you may feel defensive and a bit reactionary at this news but looking at it from an unbiased perspective, it's pretty clear that the delay is real.
Point to where I defended AMD. All I have said is wait until tomorrow and that there is no reason for people to get up in arms and rage quit on AMD. I have seen many "I am going Intel" posts today.

Furthermore, you clearly don't know how a rumor is spread. One reporter hears something and talks to his reporter friends and then they all write an article.

None of the articles have source and are based on heresay. As evidence that it is a rumor I submit the fact that many of these delay stories "report" a different new release date. If they really heard from a AMD official speaking "off the record" then why to we get Anand saying July -- Xbit saying September, and so on. If they had a good source they should agree, right?

I agree it might be delayed. But I'll discuss the implications of that when it is confirmed by AMD. Is waiting 24 hours really so hard?

Who else has reported this that didn't get its information from Anandtech?

Well, if this is indeed true, this is what happens sometimes when you hold out for what hopefully is a better product. In the end, it may be a better product, but is it going to be that much better? doubtful

You were defensive of AMD in the simple fact that you stated everyone was "bashing AMD". I am well aware of the principle of heresay, but at this point it's clear that something substantial has sparked these rumors.

There is no reason not to discuss it just because AMD hasn't officially announced it yet. If there was there would be no need for a media.

Having pieced it together, my guess is that there have been rumblings for weeks about BD not being ready, not performing up to expectations, and a general attempt by AMD and its subsidiaries (Read: Mobo manufacturers) to lower expectations through these little off the record conversations. It happens all the time in every industry. No specifics will be discussed but the general suggestion of a delay has obviously been percolating for a number of weeks. Now that we are down to the final day, Anand has decided to go on the record with this (and they've probably been sitting on it for a while now). Go ahead and wait for confirmation if you want, I'm just telling you how these things work....
