Oh then 600 watts is enough

Thread Starter
I'm feeling pretty good about the system at this point. It's gotten faster, cooler, more quiet, and less expensive.

The motherboard I'm not too sure about. Does anyone have a better rec at around the $200 price point?

Oh by the way you realized with the i5-2500k there is a combo deal with the ASUS P8Z68-V motherboard, and a free game. You save $60.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.657717

One more thing... switch the ram to the 1600 mhz version. You won't see much difference between 1866 mhz vs. 1600 mhz.

The savings of $80 right there can get you the GTX 570. For the same amount of money for your psu you can get a 750 watt after 20 dollar rebate from the ones i posted before.

After $40 rebate its only $304.99:

Lastly maybe look into a better case. If you plan to SLI or OC you want a bigger / better circulation case.

These cases are made to be quiet and push good amounts of air for circulation .... so I would hold off on the Typhoon fans (save $40), and try out these cases first.
