This will work. Sad, but true. They'll get their money from it, and they'll invent a new way to rape us next year.
1) When MW2 came out, everybody boycotted it then. On RELEASE DAY, a good 80% of the boycotters were already seen playing the game....
2) Same engine argument. Fair enough. However, the engine itself is fine. They just need to do something to it to improve it. Look at the Source Engine. It's still one of the best looking engines out there, and its older than the engine that COD is on.
3) Myself, personally....I haven't bought a COD game since Modern Warfare 1. I won't either until they release an ACTUAL new game. I refuse to pay $60 for a game, $30 for a map pack with 2 new maps (and 3 recycled old maps), and now a monthly fee to get features that in the past have ALWAYS been free.
For any stalkers out there, yes I DO in fact own COD BO in my Steam account. It has NEVER been installed though, except for a quick benchmark run. COD4 was the last decent COD game ever released. And it honestly looks to me like its going to stay that way for a long time.
When they can actually give me a new game, charge a fair price, and give me the stuff that's supposed to be released free...as free, then I'll buy their games again. Until that point, I'm not buying ANY Activision / Blizzard games at all.
Oh yeah, and I signed up for the Beta for COD Elite.
