PSU issue or motherboard?

Thread Starter
So, i have a GTX 460 running by itself at the moment. the thing is i have two

GTS 250s laying around, so i figured i would throw one in for dedicated phys x.

thats where the problem occurred. after about 20min my computer would cut off

due to a kernel power error. when i took the card out it stopped for the most

part. so my question is whether or not this is a PSU problem and if it is a

wattage or voltage or just a failing power supply.

thanks for your responses.

im gonna say its a power supply problem... probably a ripple effect causeing a lose and over volt. try jsut the 250..... see if it could be the card

I agree sounds like a PSU issue.

The PSU is a solid unit, though what usage has it had? How old is it?
