Updated the bios and now I can't get to the loading screen because of the "max power is over 95w, shutting down" EXCEPT if I mash f10. Then it will proceed to blue screen when in load /endrant

I can't underclock it down to 2200 and 1v (as I've read where someone suggested it) sooo I'm down to the option of buying a mobo.

With that being said, I need a cheap mobo that will be compatible with my damn 9850.

I'm also still using DDR2 like a champ.
take a look at this one

There aren't any AM2+ boards on sale on Newegg right now with proper 125W TDP processor support... I'm looking though

EDIT: ASUS M4A785-M is the cheapest I can find with reliable 125W support
re link it

However, your best bet may be to look through the Auctions section and see whats about, If not there is a wealth of AM2+ boards on Ebay.
that is actually the motherboard I killed today.

I would not overclock and run Prime 95 or anything intensive at all on a 125W board.
Are you looking for a micro ATX board? If so...

ASUS M4A785-M - motherboard - micro ATX - Socket AM2+ - AMD 785G
#1 in ASUS Socket AM2+ Motherboards
Support 125W CPU's and with some VRM cooling like Enzotech C1's and a fan on them it looks like an OK deal...

What's is your budget and what form factor do you need/prefer?

Double digits. Right now I just need a simple mobo. Doesn't matter if it's a micro ATX or not. memory @ 800

So, talked to my buddy. We're going to do a few different things.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130136

He has that board in his closet. He's going to let me have that board for free and let me borrow his RAM (since mine is 800) and see if everything is fine. If so, going to order myself some DDR2 1066 ram.

So, for now we'll switch topics for now.

Any suggestions on DDR2 1066 ram?

Actually that board would be a good choice for a 125W processor, uses a higher quality Infineon MOSFET design and nice VRM heatsink

Cool. Then I'll buy his mobo.

However, once again, this mobo only takes 1066 ram. Any suggestions?
