aside from grammar, this is just a poor recommendation for his needs...

No one needs a 6870 @ his resolution. He's also a graphic designer which means he wants a gpu that will allow acceleration in photoshop and the like, and IIRC CUDA does a great job of this. gts 450 or gtx460 are his best bet.

The 2500k is probably sufficient although he should really spring for the 2600k since photoshop will love those 8 threads.. and 4gb ram for graphic design is just not enough. I'm normally a person who goes barebones with ram, but it really just isn't enough for heavy photoshop use....
