raid or ahci

Thread Starter
I have two Corsair F120s in Raid0 for OS/Apps and two Western digital HDDs in Raid1 for storage on motherboard in sig.

Option in BIOS is set to RAID. Should it be set to AHCI, or is RAID correct?

Also, I installed latest Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver. Do I need to change / do anything else?

I found another thread mentioning:

There's also a registry setting you can check. I'll post it if needed

EDIT: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesM sahci

Value 3 = off
Value 0 = on
Mine shows a 3. Do I need to change this or is it okay due to RAID option mentioned above. I know the AHCI stuff applies to a single SSD but was wondering if it mattered for RAID.

Thanks

If your wanting to run Raid0,Then set in BIOS to Raid

RAID implements AHCI.
In order to assign your drives to an array on that controller, you would need to select RAID.

Thanks- that takes care of that. Do I need to change the registry setting?
