Will this work?

Hello everyone, so I was looking for my HDMI cables in my garage and I found my old pc. So I got a few questions about it.

Here are the specifications of it, at least the ones I can find.
Specifications:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 3DNow, MMX
958 MB Ram
Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE (Driver version: 260.99) (Integrated gpu on the mobo itself.)
Windows XP Professional
DirectX: 9

Full PC specifications:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...=null&key=null

Full Motherboard specifications:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...=null&key=null

My Power Supply is only 300 Watts and I am currently using 267 Watts of the 300.

So my question is, will it work If I get a used HD 6970 card and change the psu to a 650 watt.

Note the pc has an integrated gpu that can actually play MW2 at low settings on an 800x600 resolution. So i will just uninstall the drivers for it and plug the new card in.

Will this work?
Will there be any bottlenecks?

The motherboard has a PCI Express x16 slot. Its not a PCI Express 2.0 but I know they are interchangeable.

Yea it will bottleneck. PCI-E 2.0 is doubled what PCI-E 1.0 can do. With that CPU however it won't matter. I honestly wouldn't put that nice card in an old computer like that, but to each his own

I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's a pretty simple upgrade.

Yes. The processor (Socket 939) is ancient, the hard drive may be dead (or at least unbearably slow), and you won't have enough RAM to game with.

By the way everything is working, I found an outlet and plugged it in, than pressed the power button and it worked. Everything is working like I left it 2 years ago, lol. Even installed Firefox 4 on it.

So how will it run games with a 6970 and a new psu, any better or every other component will bring down the 6970?
