Mionix Naos 5000 + Propus - thoughts? - Page 2

Mionix 5000 trash ? I don't see it.The mouse is awesome.I don't notice the acceleration its reported to have. Why do a good portion of the top selling mice use the same sensor ?

Logitech G500 ,G700 and G9x
Steel Series Xai
First Roccat Kone Plus

I suppose every one of these are a piece of crap too ?

There isn't a perfect mouse period. They all have some kind of flaw.

OP if you want a sweet pad this is it.

Yes. Those are all trash too, but DPI is very marketable.

There does happen to be a perfect mouse out there--the CM Spawn.

well I have both, Mionix Naos (but the 3200...same body) and the Propus

I will be honest...Im somewhat dissapointed

The propus: looks superb, ultra high quality, surface is smooth and form factor is great...BUT it makes the mouse SOOOO noisy..... your mouse feet will make a lot of noise, even more than if you are using a wood desk

the Naos: comfort is great...I have a RAT too...so Im getting used to to the NAOS, but its a very comfy mouse...quality build...is poor.....compared to a cheapo mouse looks great...but compared to the RAT5 for example, that cost the same, it looks like a cheap toy...the naos 3200 should cost 35$ max

AND mi biggest problem...the LOD

I just cant believe how Mionix release a mouse with so bad LOD...I have tried in all kind of surface and the LOD is ridiculous....lifting up the mouse is impossible

I need to put transparent tape to reduce a little the LOD...and cmon....you spend 60$ in a damn mouse....to put tape to ????

so Im 50 percent happy, 50 percent mad

How do you get by with only 3 DPI choices though? Isn't that annoying? And no saveable profiles...

I've been getting by with only 1 DPI choice and no profiles with my IMO. Can't say it's been a problem, but more DPI levels would be nice when driving tanks in BC2.

The body for me is the best thing ever, but like everyone said, go with the 3200. Can't say much about the propus, i've never used it

More DPI choices are just fluff for me. 3 is plenty. option 3 for surfing the web and operating through windows, option 2 for regular based gameplay, option 1 for sniping and more precise movements.

With my smaller hands, I found the naos 5000 quite comfy but also....weirdly small. In order for my ring finger to not touch the mouse pad I would have to anchor my palm on the mousepad itself. I couldn't actually conform to a full palm grip. This did not grow on me fast.

Another thing that REALLY pissed me off was moving my middle finger from the right mouse click to the mouse wheel. Most of the time I would catch the edge of the wheel with the bottom part of my fingertip. The material on the wheel is a layer on top of the actual wheel. The tips would PEEL UP from the damn wheel 80% of the time I did this. Im sorry but for $60+ I don't want to constantly worry about the product Im going to be using for everything.

Third thing was picking up the mouse. If you pick up your mouse even a moderate amount, the vinyl texture of the mouse is going to make it feel dirty and slimy. My hands do NOT get sweaty but using the Naos for more than 30 minutes made me feel uncomfortable.

Ok it's not your whole arm, just the forearm. when you rest the fat just below your elbow on the table it pushes your wrist up into the air, which helps to prevent carpel tunnel and enrich your overall ergonomic experience.
