I'm getting a corsair ax1200 so i will be fine.

But now I'm wondering that because i already have a 6970, shouldn't I get 2 more versus a 6990? It would be the same price..

I'm surprised I just thought of that.

Oh, really? I thought that 3 6970's would perform better than a 6970+6990.

If that's the case, I guess I'll save a PCI slot by getting a 6990.

6990+6970=3x6970=3x6950 unlocked. They're the same because the 6990 unlocked is not neutered/gimped unlike other products like it.

I know that no matter what, I am getting this:

Like I said earlier, I am keeping my current i7 980x and samsung f3 1tb hard drive, as those are pretty much the best I can get atm.

So, this leaves me with $670 to get:

Water cooling

Monitor(s?)

MAYBE an SSD? :/

Please help me choose these last things wisely. ^^

Monitors: meh think about it later
SSD: awful idea, unless they're like 250gb+.

Do not post on OCN, these guys will talk you into some stupid upgrade

what you should really do is watercool, ask anybody worth their salt.
here is a sample build for your budget constraints

edit: not everything there is correct, well almost, but it was quick. Ask around on the WC section, they'll guide you correctly.

Yes that res isn't very cool, but it improves flow to near 1gpm under high restriction loops, why I'd use the MCP355/LaingDDC with this pump top, very powerful and with the xspc top, good with high restriction

You could opt for the MCP655b and get the top for the D5, if you wanted.

all fits in an 800d with no modding.

Thanks a ton! I really appreciate it. +Rep.

I'm currently reading guides about installing all of this, and I am going to make a thread in the watercooling section to see what they tell me to get.
Again, thanks a lot!

I see two rads, one 360 which I presume will be at the top of the case, and RS240. Where 240 goes? (without modding)

While I'm at it, would AX850 be enough for trifire 6950@6970?
