This is the first time I've seen a "first" build look very good. One question

+ 1 Standard ATX Power Cable (PSU doesn't include one)

Do you mean the plug for the wall?

Beware, you WILL be flamed for buying a "gaming" headset. If you want to listen to the flamers then go ahead but for your average system there's no need for nice headphones.

nice. You don't need a 2500k though unless you're gonna overclock, which in that case you should get an aftermarket cooler.

Might I add an additional HDD if you can afford it to do RAID 0, I find it is a major performance gain over just a single HDD. I also have heard that Lite-On's have a reputation for lighting on fire... unsure about how accurate that is but I got an ASUS DVD drive just to get around that fear.

Otherwise, good build. I kind of wish I had held off another month so I could have gotten a Sandy Bridge CPU and a GTX 580 -.-

Looks great for a 1st time build. I wouldn't go with a headset, but if that's what you want then go for it.

umm, why? I would understand if he wanted a 2600k. It would be stupid to build a nice rig like that and not get the "K" version. This is OCN. He'll eventually overclock

Yah.

Thanks for complimenting on my build. I promise you this is my very first build, I've just done lots of research and comparisons.

I'm happy to spend the extra $10 just in case I ever decide to, which I probably might.

Every PSU comes with a plug. Unless it's used. I even thing open box PSU's from newegg have plugs included. Where are you getting the PSU from?

This 2500k adds a lot to gaming over an PII build, and he will eventually oc it somewhat.

I would say no on the gaming headset as well, do some research there are some really good stand alone headphones for less then 100 bux that will be much better.

I recommend the silver arrow or d14 for cooling, hyper 212 plus is best bang for your buck though.
