Whats the absoluter best PSU for OC'ing?

By best i mean which psu will give the highest clocks on a i7-2600k im looking for over a 1000 watts (or a 1000) with great voltages (most likely a gold 80 plus) also under 300usd. wanting to know because im trying to get the best OC for my system as possible when i build it next month(: haha well thanks! also no crazy stuff like WC psu... thanks

How far a overclock goes is not dependent on how much wattage a PSU can output. To some degree, yes, a high wattage PSU will allow you to overclock without the worry of it not being able to output the power, but other than that, that's it.

An overclock depends on CPU temperature, motherboard, and the chip itself. Since every chip is different, some may clock higher, while others hit a wall.

Whilst I can not offer any more advice than Jcyle just did, I would again advise to stick to well reviewed PSU's. Although they may not directly provide you with overclocking headroom, they will give your overclock a 'stronger backbone', and a good, clean stable power supply is essential in keeping your overclock stable.

Oh ab by the way.. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A BUILD LOG! Thats an order
