Advice for 27 inch or 30 inch monitor

Thread Starter
While I am waiting for the msi gtx 580 3gb to come out, I sold my 27 inch dell new monitor to a friend because I didn't know how low I would have to wait for the new msi's gtx 580 3gb. I didn't lose any money so I am happy.
Right now I am thinking to buy the 27 inch dell monitor again,or try de 30 inch dell monitor, or other brands, I am open to any suggestion, I will be using msi gtx 580 3gb in SLI as soon as they come out.

Regards.

Sure, do buy a 27" or 30" if you were happy with your old 27" and have the money.

I would say that the 30" is better for movies if you don't mind black bars on the top and bottom, since a 16:9 picture on the 30" is bigger http://www.displaywars.com/27-inch-1...-30-inch-16x10

The 27" provides 27" of 16:9, the 30" can provide 29" of 16:9 area.

If you don't like black bars, the 27" would be better.

Not sure about input lag on the U3011, but the U2711 has 15-30ms depending on the situation, and I would say the U3011 has roughly the same amount.

The HP ZR30W is also an option for 30" if you're concerned with input lag, since it has lower input lag than the U3011. If you're interested in the specifics, I'm sure you can find this info online as well.
