hmm ok ive been looking at prices, thinking of going for the msi tfII 560 ti - ive heard that this just blows lots of hot air into my case and increases the ambient temperature.will this be a probem with 2 of them? Or will i be fine if my case has good airflow?

^or the asus directcu II (not a bump)

They are both good, but the MSI is the better cooler.

It shouldnt raise ambients temp much, if at all. Especially if you have out take fans on the top rear or top of your case.

Edit: Instead of making a new post, just edit your last.

aaah ok - case-wise ive been lookint at the NZXT m59 or LEXA S or HADES - do these have good airflow and case fans? and they should fit a couple of 560s right?

They will definitely fit the 560's no problem.

They are all pretty equal, but the HADES and LEXA S have slightly better airflow than the M59.

The TFII is a great card! It does exhaust into the case and will raise ambient temps. I have plenty of airflow to keep it moving. You will not be disappointed with that purchase.

Yea 560 would be a good choice for 1080p, also that FRIO will work easy.

The 480's still a really powerful card, no doubt though. If you can, get it over a 560 Ti if you can.
Uh-huh, okay then...

The 480 was rushed, Nvidia needed a couple more months to sort out its problems but they were already late on their deadline.

Buying an aftermarket cooled GTX 480 like the Gigabyte SOC is OK because it deals with the noise and high temps and it uses less power but a reference 480 is not a good idea when you can get a much better card like the 570.
Yeah sure, the GTX570 performs the same and is cooler and quieter, but it has less VRAM and really awful VRMs that go bang. Also it costs a lot more.

C'mon guys....
