Intel people, in an intel thread? no way, their all over in the AMD section telling people to get sandybridges

And OT lol: Yes, the i5 2500k is the favourite by far at present for gaming, if your going to upgrade from that i3, you might as well go the whole way and get the 2500k

If you want an i5 2500/k or i7 2600/k you would have to get a new motherboard because it is a different socket. If wanted to upgrade your pc to that the cheapest option would be to sell the old processor motherboard and gpu and get a extra 2gb ram and then try get a bundle for motherboard and processor and use rest of money for gpu

I think it is socket 1155 that you will need to buy

Also do you no what power supply you have in it?
