Printing on my OCN ducky special edition wearing off. Is this normal? - Page 7

No, if I rub my fingernail over any key, I feel no difference in the surface at all.

I believe all their PBT keys are the same, the ABS ones are different.

The letters are pretty much level with the key. Skin oil and dirt can darken the colour of the letters, alcohol wipe can help with that. But the filler itself is pretty soft.

If you would, please PM me some photos of your keyboard and the lettering so I can get a good idea with what is wrong.

I am having this same problem and I have submitted pictures to Tator.

After only a couple months of light to medium use many of my keys are wearing off and almost completely worn in some cases.

I bought the most expensive OCN branded ducky with brown switches.

Aw c'mon.

I tried to use some different lighting going to make clear the severity of the situation.

I am not blaming anyone or trying to fuel the fire of the mob.

My hands are pretty clean and dry at all times, if I notice that my hands are dirty or I have been working outside or on some sort of oily/greasy surface I make a note to wash them before I use my computers. I tried to clean the keyboard with a damp microfibre cloth and also some rubbing alcohol and my microfibre cloth.

Thanks.

What's interesting about the pic is the supposedly inferior Filco pad printed WASD keys look little worn.

My WASD cluster is not worn at all actually, and those are arguably the keys that are in contact with my fingers the most.

Yes ripster is now going to make a point about the "superior technology" actually being inferior. *sits back and waits*
