Printing on my OCN ducky special edition wearing off. Is this normal? - Page 9

I wouldn't be whining so much, those black on black keycaps look 10x cooler anyway I would be sitting there with a knife digging out all the paint.

Easy there cougar, no one is whining, just talking about the situation. I like black on black too, but it wasn't an option when I ordered. The ol' pocket knife trick probably wouldn't look as good either as a factory job.

They didn't come that way unless you spent $35 on another set.

I would be fuming if my board wore through in a fortnight. I have a Saitek Eclipse for years and Razor Blackwidow for ages now and neither show any sign of caps wearing down.

I wouldn't listen to the mods saying it is normal. After a few years, yes, after 2 weeks. No. If they refuse, use your legal rights to claim it is not fit for purpose (Sales of Goods act (here in the UK)).

It is premature but it is only the white paint in the keycap everything else will will look the same for a very long time, those types of keycaps even take a long time to go shiny.

In my eyes, that isn't fit for purpose. The law accepts wear and tear over time, however, a fortnight is terrible. Get on the blower to the retailer and ask for a repair/replacement.

Before this goes any further it's getting locked. My original post was a misconception of what was being described.

There are various levels of wear and tear and the current one is not acceptable by my standards. I am talking with the company who produces the boards for us to have this issue rectified. As it currently stands, I do believe there to be a fault in the mixture of the pain used as an infill on the lazer etched keycaps.

If you think you have a problem or the board is showing serious signs of wear, please send me a PM so I can document the case.
