New rig finally done

Thread Starter
I just got a new rig, and its just awesome!!!

I got a 1090t (http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1845343)
4 gigs of mushkin ddr3 ram
Asrock MB,
Corsair CX 430,
still have the epic 4770
and frontier gladiator case

cant take pics currently, no baeturies for camera:<

anyways, im loving this, the 1090t renders vids so much faster than the e6600 i had, and i can finally play some more cpu dependant games (gta iv and such)

So what do you think? did i get a good rig? didnt cost me much, thought it would be a lot more! but all in all im really satisfied, just new windows and bang, awesum pc

hmm, although i dont know about the ram, says theyre on 668 mhz, they should be on 1333 i think, not sure

The RAM speed is fine, but are you only using one stick? Ideally you'd use matched pairs to operate in dual-channel mode. Even if you are, you should be fine for now. Obviously you could do with a new video card and monitor, which would probably call for a better PSU.

Anyway, congratulations on the new rig!

2+1 phase VRM mobo on 1090T!!!
Stop right there sir, you need to swap that mobo or it is likely going to blow up attempting to run that 1090T at full load--

(See sig: About VRM's & MOSFETs)

Listen to xd_1771. Your motherboard will go KABOOM and might take everything connected to it.

It's time for shopping sir.

Congratulations on your new rig, but if your mobo is really 2+1 phase then YOU ARE IN DANGER.

Games mostly dont 100% load CPUs, but too much power draw and you may lose rest of your components.

If you will still try to be a hero and torture your PC, then in the name of love atleast remove the poor HD4770.
