I had this card and you can see all about it here. http://www.overclock.net/amd-ati/989...970-970-a.html

That Sapphire you're looking at is an awesome card. Voltage control is supported in Sapphire Trixx and MSI Afterburner. It is based on the "new reference" design from AMD. It has the TI drMOS power section that AMD intended on the original card before they had supply issues. However, it only has 7 power phases instead of 8. The link above will show you all you need to know. The only downside is that the blower on it is very loud for my tastes. I'm thinking I may have had a bad one. That is the whole reason I did an RMA and got the Lightning. The Sapphire card did 970/1500 for me with no problem at stock volts I believe. Keustag has the Sapphire card and says it's quieter than his reference version. I think it's a great card, just get an aftermarket cooler.
